Why did God not destroy the whole human race for crucifying Jesus?

God did not destroy the whole human race because the crucifixion was done in total ignorance. The people and their rulers did not know what they were doing. Peter says they acted through ignorance, and Stephen says they knew not. Otherwise, God would have destroyed Jew and Gentile alike.

Les explains that God did not destroy the whole human race, Jew and Gentile alike, because the crucifixion was done in total ignorance. They didn't know. Peter says in Acts 3:17 that both the people and their rulers crucified the Lord through ignorance, and Stephen likewise says, "Father, they know not what they do." Yet the crucifixion also fulfilled prophecy: God had shown by the mouth of all His prophets that Christ should suffer, and prophecy must be fulfilled to the last jot and tittle, otherwise God would be a liar. Peter therefore calls them to repent and be converted, turn their direction, and change their thinking, the same format as Acts 2:38.
