Les Feldick Bible Study

What is the restitution of all things Peter refers to?

The restitution of all things is the future restoration of the earth to its Edenic condition before sin entered. It occurs during the seven-year Tribulation, when the curse that has held the earth for almost 6,000 years is removed, making the world once again a beautiful Garden of Eden.

Les explains that Peter refers to the time when the earth will be restored from its cursed condition back to Edenic conditions before sin entered. Though Peter expected the Lord’s immediate return to Israel if they repented, he also recognized that the seven years of restitution had to come first. Les identifies this as the Tribulation period, connecting it to Revelation chapter 5, where the seals are peeled off the scroll—the road map of the seven years that pay off the mortgage Satan has held since Adam fell. After almost 6,000 years under the curse, the world will again become a beautiful Garden of Eden.

Acts 3:21

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
