What does Les teach about progressive revelation?
Scripture is a progressive revelation: God did not unload everything in Genesis, in the Old Testament, or even during His earthly ministry. He reveals certain truths as He sees fit, and it is up to us to discern what and when they are. Later revelations given to Paul were not included in the earlier Apostle's Doctrine.
Les teaches that Scripture is a progressive revelation. He explains that God does not unload everything back in Genesis, does not put everything in the Old Testament, and does not even tell everything during His earthly ministry. Instead, as He sees fit, He reveals certain truths, and it is up to us to discern what and when they are. In the Acts 2 setting, the Apostle's Doctrine included none of the later revelations given to Paul. Peter, at the end of his life, recognized that Paul now had answers to questions he himself still could not quite comprehend.
