Has Christianity always been just a small percentage?

Yes—Christianity has always been a small, small percentage. God never instructed Paul or his companions to win the whole world; rather, He was calling out a people for His name, the few. It remains a small minority, not the 60 percent some polls claim.

Les teaches that God never instructed Paul, Barnabas, or Silas to win the whole world. In Acts 15, James agreed that God was using Paul to go to the Gentiles by calling out a people for His name—not 99 or 100 percent, but the few. Les says that is all Christianity has ever had: a small, small percentage. He dismisses the Gallup poll figure of 60 percent of Americans as professing Christians, saying even 60 percent of the Bible belt are not Bible-believing Christians. It has always been that small percentage and has not changed.
