How does God's plan for the waterway compare to the human Mediterranean-Dead Sea canal project?

Human governments and engineers are planning a costly Mediterranean-to-Dead Sea canal requiring billions of dollars, but God's plan is accomplished in a moment of time at the second coming, when living water flows from Jerusalem toward both the Mediterranean and Dead Sea.

Les explains that Middle Eastern governments—Israel, Jordan, and someone else—are concocting plans, with engineers drawing up a canal between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It will cost billions and billions of dollars, but they are sure they can make it work. By contrast, Les teaches that God will do it in a moment of time at His second coming. In Zechariah 14, His feet stand on the Mount of Olives, the mountain cleaves east and west, and living water goes out from Jerusalem, half toward the Mediterranean and half toward the Dead Sea. A fresh water river will run from Jerusalem to the Mediterranean and on to the Dead Sea, and possibly continue to the Gulf of Agaba, the Persian Gulf, or the Red Sea around Eilat. Human effort requires billions; God's happens in a moment.

Zechariah 14:8

And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
