Was the kingdom of David and Solomon a spiritual or a real political kingdom?

It was a real, political, earthly kingdom, not an ethereal or spiritualized concept. It was a literal kingdom here on earth under the authority of a king, beginning with Israel under David and Solomon and reaching a pinnacle of glory that the world had never seen.

Les explains that the kingdom of David and Solomon was not an ethereal, foggy, spiritualized idea but was for real. It was a political kingdom, a kingdom here on earth under the authority of a king. Bathsheba saw the glories of Solomon's kingdom and said that even what she had heard was not half of what she now saw. This glorious kingdom followed David and was constantly remembered by Israel. Les notes that Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 11, saying, “a greater than Solomon is here,” speaking of Himself. This kingdom concept began with the nation of Israel under David and Solomon, reached a pinnacle of glory such as the world had never seen, and then faded off the scene. The disciples later asked, “Lord, are you going to restore again the Kingdom?”
