Are believers already citizens of God's Kingdom?

Believers are already citizens of God's Kingdom, which is presently in heaven. Scripture states they have been translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son. Though Christ is King, He is not King of the Church but Head of the Body; believers are members of that Kingdom and will be part of it when He returns.

Les explains that the Kingdom is the Kingdom is the Kingdom; there is only one Kingdom in Scripture, the one to be set upon this earth where Christ will rule as King of kings and Lord of lords. He points out that believers are already citizens of that Kingdom, which is currently in heaven. Christ is the King, but He is not the King of the Church; He is the Head of the Body, and believers are members of that Kingdom. Colossians 1 makes it plain that believers have been translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son. When the Son returns and sets up His Kingdom on this earth, believers will be part and parcel of it. During the forty days between His resurrection and ascension, Christ spoke to the eleven apostles concerning the Kingdom of God.
