Why do many people and even preachers find the bodily resurrection harder to accept than the virgin birth?

The bodily resurrection is harder for many people, including preachers, because it requires believing God actually took on flesh, died, and then arose and walked around bodily. Although some may struggle with the virgin birth, they often find that doctrine easier to accept than the resurrection’s physical, infallible proofs.

Les explains that the resurrection is the doctrine that throws a curve in a lot of people, including preachers. Some may have problems with the virgin birth, but they can swallow that a little easier than the doctrine of His resurrection—that He arose from the dead bodily. He points to Acts 1:3, where Scripture says Jesus showed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen forty days. Les also notes a Muslim who could not comprehend how God walked around in the flesh or arose and walked around bodily; the answer is simply that the Book says it. He adds that some men have spent almost a lifetime trying to prove the resurrection false.
