What did Jeremiah prophesy about Judah and Israel in the coming Kingdom?
Jeremiah prophesied that in the coming Kingdom, in his days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely. His name shall be called the LORD our righteousness, in Hebrew Jehovah Sidkenu. This is one of the Old Testament I Am's tied to Israel's need.
Les explains that Jeremiah is looking forward to the Kingdom. In verse 6 Jeremiah writes that in his days Judah shall be saved, Israel shall dwell safely, and his name shall be called the LORD our righteousness. The Hebrew for that name is Jehovah Sidkenu. This prophecy is part of the seven Old Testament I Am's that are intrinsic to Israel's need, and it anticipates the Kingdom where Judah is saved and Israel dwells safely.
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
