Where did the fish on the fire in John 21 come from?

The fish on the fire were not taken from the disciples' net; they were already there when the disciples came to land. The passage states everything was already prepared, indicating the Lord had provided them beforehand, separate from the miraculous catch.

In John 21, the disciples had fished all night and caught nothing. Jesus told them to cast the net on the right side of the ship, and they caught a multitude of fish. When they came to land, they saw a fire of coals with fish laid on it. Les explains that these fish did not come out of the net; instead, everything was already prepared. The fish on the fire were a separate provision from the Lord, ready before the disciples arrived, showing His care for them.

John 21:9

As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
