Les Feldick Bible Study

Are people of every ethnic and social background included in the one Body by drinking the one Spirit?

Yes. Scripture teaches that all believers—whether Jew or Gentile, bond or free—are baptized by the Holy Spirit into one Body and made to drink into that one Spirit. This inclusion is not limited to the super spiritual or those with a special experience; it is the common position of true, born-again believers.

Les explains that the baptism of the Holy Spirit—not water baptism—places believers into one Body. He emphasizes that all are baptized by the power of the Holy Spirit, not just the super spiritual or those who seem to have experienced some sort of high. Whether Jew or Gentile, bond or free, all have been made to drink into that one Spirit. This one Body is the composite of true, born-again believers, not the thousands of denominations and cults. Such language, Les notes, is not found in the Gospels.
