Who has been made to drink of the one and same Spirit?

Whether Jews or Gentiles, bond or free, all have been made to drink or partake of the one and same Spirit. This occurs by believing the Gospel, and the Holy Spirit places believers into the Body of Christ, making them a new creation and a work of God.

Les explains that whether a person is Jew or Gentile, bond or free, all are made to drink or partake of that one and the same Spirit. A person enters Christ by believing the Gospel; then the Holy Spirit does His work and places that believer into the Body of Christ. Les reminds us this is a new creation and a work of God, and the part dealing with eternity is invisible—only God can operate in that realm. The old Adamic nature had to be crucified, a spiritual work only God could do, and only God can give the new creative personality, the new nature, because it too is in the invisible realm.

1 Corinthians 12:13

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
