Why is Les taking viewers to Paul's letters before he starts the Gospel of John?
The teacher returns to Paul’s letters before beginning John because he had probably unsettled some listeners and wanted to address that first. He says this is a digression from the Gospels before the planned John study, after which he will finish Matthew’s remaining post-resurrection forty days.
Les explains that he is going to digress from the Gospel studies in this half hour. He says he is probably going to go to the book of John next, then go back and finish what was left off in Matthew—the post-resurrection 40 days still to be covered. But before starting John, he wanted to take the studio audience and television audience back to the letters of Paul, because he had probably “shook a few people up.”
