Who among the inner circle did not go to the tomb to check if Jesus was there?
The woman who poured ointment on Jesus’ body for His burial was the only one of the inner circle who did not go to the tomb to check whether He was there. The context says she is not named, though her act is remembered as a memorial.

Les is not convinced she knew why she was putting on a burial ointment, but he finds it amazing that she is the only one of this inner circle who does not go to the tomb to check whether He is there. It is possible the Lord had revealed something to her, so she anointed Him for His burial, knowing He was going to be killed and placed in the tomb. Jesus says that wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what she has done will be told as a memorial of her; just about everybody in Christendom has heard of this woman who anointed the body of Christ before His death.
