What time did Jesus' arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane happen?

The arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane occurred at nighttime, evidently right around midnight, perhaps a little before. It was typical of totalitarian governments to arrest people at night, and the whole arrest and mock trial took place before dawn.

Les explains that totalitarian governments almost always choose nighttime for arrests, such as three o'clock or two o'clock in the morning, because it is a mental and traumatic thing to have someone knock on your door in the dark hours rather than in daylight. He applies this same pattern to Jesus' arrest, noting they chose nighttime, typical of totalitarian governments. He says it was evidently right around midnight, maybe even a little before, because everything that transpires in the arrest and mock trial takes place before the early light of dawn. Thus the first sign of His arrest in the garden was probably in the area of midnight. Judas betrayed Him and led the soldiers, and there must have been at least a hundred soldiers brought to arrest Him.
