Who is the man child in Revelation 12:5, and what will He do?
The man child of Revelation 12:5 is the Christ, brought forth by the nation of Israel. He is the Son who was caught up to God and His throne at His ascension. He is destined to rule all nations, which He will accomplish at His return when He sets up His kingdom.
Les explains that the woman represents the nation of Israel, and the man child she brings forth is the Christ. Revelation 12:5 says this child is to rule all nations, and Les says He will do that at His return and the setting up of His kingdom. The same child, the Son, was caught up unto God and to His throne at His ascension in Acts chapter 1. In the surrounding context, Les connects this to Herod's decree to kill the boy babies under the age of two, Satan's attempt to stop God's plan of redemption. The woman then flees into the wilderness, a place prepared of God, where the remnant is fed 1,260 days, three and a half years, paralleling Israel's Exodus provision.
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
