What has God promised when you are tempted?
God is faithful and will not permit you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation He will also make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it. This is a promise, and there is no need to fail or stumble, though we do.
Les teaches that Satan is going to hit us and the old Adam is going to come up at us, but God is faithful and will not permit us to be tempted beyond what we are able. With the temptation, He will also make a way to escape so that we may be able to bear it. This is a promise, so there is no need for us to fail or stumble, even though we do; it is not God's fault, because God has made all the provisions. Those provisions are based on the fact that Christ experienced every category of temptation that befalls you and me.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
