Why did Jesus' body not decay after He was buried?
Jesus' body did not decay because Christ's body was incorruptible, and it never did start the decaying process. This stands in contrast to Adam, the federal head of the human race, who fell. Christ's incorruptible body explains why no decay occurred after He was laid in the tomb.
Les explains that as Jesus' body was laid in the tomb, it did not begin to decay because Christ's body was incorruptible and never started the decaying process. He sets this in contrast with Adam. Adam was the federal head of the human race and was given dominion over everything God had created; it was his to rule and reign over. Yet Satan came with one temptation, and Adam fell despite having all power, beautiful circumstances, and nothing lacking. Christ, by contrast, came in His earthly ministry not as the royal king as yet. He presented Himself as king, but came more as a servant—lowly, riding on the foal of an ass. This threw a curve at the Jews, who looked for someone on a white steed like a Roman general or emperor. He epitomized servanthood by washing the disciples' feet. They could not understand how the creator of the universe, who came to be king of Israel and the whole planet, could kneel and wash feet. So He came as the lowly servant, not as Adam with total dominion.
