Why does Les Feldick emphasize careful Bible reading?
Careful Bible reading is emphasized because many important things are often glossed over, and those truths are too important to be overlooked. The goal is to get people to study their Bibles and read them more carefully, searching the Scriptures rather than passively skimming.
Les explains that he does not expect everyone to agree with him on everything, but he wants to get folk to study their Bible and learn to read it more carefully. He stresses that this matters because so many times things are just glossed over, yet those things are too important for that. He also invites listeners to get the book and search the Scriptures with him, then moves directly into Matthew chapter 4 to cover the temptations and Christ beginning His earthly ministry.
