Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does God have the right to reject those who do not believe His revealed truth?

Once God reveals His truth, He expects people to believe it. When they refuse, He has every right to reject them someday because He is sovereign. He does not, however, expect anyone to believe something He has not yet revealed.

Les explains that God does not hold people accountable for truth He has not yet revealed, but once He reveals something, He expects the human race to believe it. When they do not, God has every right to reject them someday because He is sovereign. Les points to Christ's plain announcement to the Twelve near the end of His earthly ministry: He told them He would go to Jerusalem, be delivered to the Gentiles, mocked, spitefully treated, spit on, scourged, put to death, and rise the third day. Even so, the Twelve understood none of these things.
