Why can God reject people who do not believe His revealed truth?
God has every right to reject those who refuse to believe His revealed truth because He is sovereign. Once He reveals something, He expects people to believe it. When they do not, their rejection is just. He does not expect anyone to believe what He has not yet revealed.
Les teaches that God is sovereign and therefore has the right to reject those who reject His revealed truth. Once He reveals something, He expects the human race to believe it; when they don't, God has every right to reject them someday. However, God does not expect anyone to believe something He has not yet revealed. Les gives an example from Luke 18: toward the end of Christ's earthly ministry, Jesus plainly told the Twelve that He would be delivered to the Gentiles, mocked, scourged, put to death, and rise again the third day. Yet the Twelve understood none of these things.
