Why were some Bible truths hidden and not revealed until later?
Some Bible truths were hidden because God did not reveal everything at once. Scripture unfolds progressively, with certain aspects kept hidden in the mind of God until He saw fit in His own time to reveal them.
Les explains that as Scripture moves through the Old and New Testaments, there is a constant revealing of something that had never been revealed before. He notes that God did not suddenly dump everything on the human race; rather, revelation is progressive. Certain aspects of Scripture were kept hidden in the mind of God until He saw fit in His own time to reveal them, so Scripture must be viewed this way.
