How large had the human race become in the couple hundred years after Noah's sons?
A couple hundred years after Noah’s three sons, the human race had not yet multiplied into millions upon millions. Even so, it had already become quite a few people, still of one language and basically one blood, gathered in the plains of Shinar and Mesopotamia.
Les explains that the interval between Noah and Abraham was about 400 years, with the Tower of Babel occurring in the middle. After just a couple hundred years from Noah’s three sons, the race had not multiplied into millions upon millions, but there were already quite a few people. The whole human race was still of one language and basically one blood, and they all met in the plains of Shinar, in Mesopotamia in the Euphrates River Valley, where they built the Tower of Babel. Under Nimrod, Satan instituted all pagan and mythological religions there. Then by Abraham’s time, a couple hundred years after Babel, around 2000 B.C., the whole then-known human race was steeped in idolatry or mythology, and God found one man who still had a spark of faith.
