Where is the Tree of Life in the New Earth?
In the New Earth, the Tree of Life is located on either side of the river of water of life, in the midst of the street of the new city. That river proceeds from the throne of God and the Lamb, and Jerusalem is the center and capital of the New Earth.
Les explains that the New Earth will have much the same geographical structure as this one, with Jerusalem again pretty much the center. That Jerusalem will be the abode of the tremendous new city, and out of that same area will come the river of water of life. In verse 2, the Tree of Life is in the midst of the street of it, on either side of the river. Les notes this Tree of Life was last mentioned way back in Genesis, then passed off the scene because man could not have access lest he live eternally; now in the eternal state it reappears. It will bear twelve manner or kinds of fruit, and fruit is for eating.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
