Who gets the right to the tree of life and enters the heavenly city?

Those who have been loyal to God receive the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. The city's gates are made of pure pearl. In contrast, dogs, sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters, and liars remain outside, having no part in the eternal state.

Les explains that the commandments God has put into words, not just the Ten, are valid, and those who have been loyal to God will have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city—those pearly gates made of pure pearl. He also addresses the difficult verse listing dogs, sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters, and liars: he thinks all that is implied is that none of these will be in the eternal state; they are already in their place, out in the lake of fire, and will have no part in the glories of the eternal state.
