Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does God make all things new?

God makes all things new so that nothing remains tainted by sin—whether satanic or human. He removes the curse and former things, wiping away tears, death, sorrow, crying, and pain, so He can dwell personally with His people in the renewed eternal state.

Les explains that in verse 3 the tabernacle of God is with men, and God Himself will dwell with them and be their God. He won't be far off, taken only by faith, but present. Eternity is a dimension we cannot comprehend, yet billions upon billions will each know God as personally as their own parent. In verse 4 God wipes away all tears; no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain, because former things are passed away. Les ties this to the earth and the curse—all of it is put away. Then verse 5 quotes the One on the throne: 'Behold, I make all things new, even the heavens.' Les says everything will be new so nothing can have been tainted by sin, whether satanic or human. Verse 6 declares, 'It is done. I am Alpha and Omega,' and Les identifies that speaker as Christ, the beginning and the end.

Revelation 21:5

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
