Will I know God personally in eternity even with so many people?
Yes. Scripture describes God dwelling with His people, not far off, so that even with billions upon billions of inhabitants in eternity, each person will know Him as personally as they know their own parent. That personal intimacy is part of the uniqueness of the eternal state.
Les teaches that God will not remain distant, someone “clear out there” whom we take by faith; He will be in the very present, dwelling with His people. Even though eternity will contain billions upon billions of inhabitants, Les says each one will know God as personally as they know their own parent. He calls this one of the uniquenesses of the eternal. In that state God wipes away all tears—no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain. The former things pass away, and He makes all things new, even the heavens, so nothing is tainted by sin. The Lord Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, is the one speaking.
