From whom did Paul receive the revelation of the church?

Paul received the revelation of the church from the ascended and glorified Lord. The church is strictly a Pauline revelation, not found in the Old Testament or the Gospels. It came after Israel rejected her Messiah, when God turned to the Gentiles.

Les explains that the church is strictly a Pauline revelation, and Paul alone received this great revelation from the ascended and glorified Lord. Les points out that the church age is a parenthetical period, Gentile in nature, slipped in between the prophetic program. No prophecy associates with the church; all prophecy connects with Israel. You can find nothing concerning the church in the Old Testament or the Gospels. It isn't until Paul comes on the scene, after Israel rejected her Messiah and King, that God sets Israel aside into dispersion and turns to the Gentiles completely. Most, if not all, basic church doctrines come from Paul's pen. The Body of Christ is predominantly Gentile and not associated with prophecy.
