What is the whole concept of walking the Christian life?

The whole concept of walking the Christian life is not carelessness or complacency after salvation, but a constant desire to bring glory to God's name. Believers are kept in service by the Word of God, cleansed spiritually, and presented to Christ as a glorious church, holy and without blemish.

Les explains that the whole concept of walking the Christian life is that we are not to be careless or say, "I'm saved, so what?" That should never be the believer's attitude. Instead, our attitude should be, "I want to do all I can to bring glory to His name." He connects this to the Heidelberg Catechism's first question: the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. The Word of God cleanses the spiritual body and keeps us in a place of service. Christ will present the church to Himself as glorious, without spot or wrinkle, holy and without blemish. This constant desire to glorify God is the believer's proper walk.
