Is salvation by faith alone without works?
Salvation is by faith and faith alone, plus nothing. Works and everything else have no part in salvation; they must follow but do not save. Romans 10:9 says to confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead.
Les teaches from Romans chapter 10 that salvation is by faith and faith alone. He stresses that everything else has to follow and has no part in salvation, that it must be faith plus nothing, otherwise you are telling God He did not quite finish the work. Romans 10:9 calls for confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. This rests on Christ's finished work: in John 12, Jesus spoke of His death, burial, and resurrection as a kernel of wheat falling into the ground and dying so it could bring forth much fruit, imparting life to those who believe.
