What is the law of God that cannot be compromised?
It is the law that the soul that sins shall surely die. This first law of God cannot be compromised; it demands blood for remission, for without the shedding of blood there is no remission. Christ fulfilled that demand by His death.
Les teaches that the first law is 'the soul that sinneth shall surely die,' and that this law of God cannot be compromised. He connects it to Hebrews 9:22, where without the shedding of blood there is no remission, and says Christ fulfilled that demand of God that blood had to be shed for the soul that sinneth. Les then points to Hebrews 11:6, calling these two things unalterable attributes you cannot compromise but must face head on: without faith it is impossible, and salvation must believe. He also reminds that Paul constantly emphasizes the work of the cross—that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.
