How were the righteous people in this judgment saved?

The righteous in this judgment were saved by faith in the message, not by their good deeds. Good works never save anyone. Their willingness to help those who brought the message was a result of salvation, not the cause. Faith in the message was the means of their salvation.

Les explains that the righteous in this judgment are believers gathered from all nations. Their good deeds—feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and imprisoned—were not what saved them. As Les teaches, it never is good works that save anybody. They were saved by their faith in the message. As soon as they experienced salvation, they were willing to help those who brought it to them. Les gives the example of believers in Europe during Hitler's terror who hid Jewish people and helped them escape, because it is a Christian's nature to do such things.
