What rises as the world gets smaller and more intricately involved?
As the world becomes smaller and more intricately connected, confusion rises proportionately. Scripture describes this as the perplexity of the nations, a condition where people do not know where to go next, and this perplexity affects the whole world, not just one nation.
Les explains that as the world gets smaller and more intricately involved, confusion rises proportionately. He connects this to Jesus' words in Luke chapter 21 about the perplexity of the nations. People are filled with perplexity and do not know where to go next. Les notes that there is perplexity within our own nation, but that is nothing compared to the perplexity of the whole world. He asks whether this is where we are coming, emphasizing that the nations are increasingly confused.
