Why is the world moving toward one-world government and global news events?
Global events become worldwide news because the world is shrinking and accelerating. Commerce, politics, religion, and economics are intertwining into one global system Scripture calls Babylon, which underlies the push toward one-world government and is moving toward its end.
Les explains that because the world is getting so small and events happen so fast, anything taking place on the planet suddenly becomes a worldwide news event. The same is true of commerce and politics, and that is why there is talk of one-world government lately, along with the great new age. Babylon in Revelation pictures the whole global system: the world's religions, politics, and economics, all intertwined. This shows the whole system can come to its end in just one very short period of time.
