Where will the world's armies camp when God brings them to Israel?
When God brings the world's armies to Israel, they will establish their encampments on the valley floors. These low-lying, flat areas include the Jordan Valley, the Plains of Sharon, and especially the Valley of Ezdralon, also called the Valley of Megiddo, a historic battlefield.
Les explains that although Israel is predominantly mountainous, it has natural valley areas between the mountain ranges. The places shaded are low-lying, flat-level areas. The Jordan Valley is flat, not very wide, but level ground lies on both sides of the river. Between Mount Carmel and the ancient city of Megiddo, now called the Tell of Megiddo, is the beautiful Valley of Megiddo, also called the Valley of Ezdralon. Along the Mediterranean are the Plains of Sharon, which are also flat. When God brings the armies of the world to Israel, they will naturally put their encampments on those valley floors. The Valley of Ezdralon has been a battlefield throughout the millennia, with hundreds and hundreds of battles fought there, and Scripture alludes to it. God will bring the nations of the world to the Middle East.
