What will the 200,000,000-man eastern army do on its march to the Middle East?
The 200,000,000-man eastern army, understood as the Chinese with other Orientals, will march westward toward the Middle East. God sovereignly causes the Chinese authorities to send it. On its march it will destroy everything in its path, murdering, mutilating, and ravaging the countryside, resembling Sherman's march to the sea, and will cross a dried Euphrates.
Les explains that the 200,000,000-man army is the one power on earth that brags, referencing Mao Tse-Tung's claim that China, with her one billion people, can put 200,000,000 servicemen in the field in any one given time. He feels this is the army referred to: the Chinese along with probably a few other Orientals, making their way westward toward the Middle East. In this period God is doing the supernatural, and God will sovereignly cause the Chinese authorities to send that army moving westward. As they move, Les compares them to Sherman's march to the sea in the Civil War, destroying everything in their path. He thinks this Chinese horde will literally murder, mutilate, and ravage the countryside as they move toward the Middle East. The great natural barrier is the River Euphrates; present bridges could not handle moving 200,000,000 men across it, but God will dry up the Euphrates so they can migrate across without bridges.
