What does Jesus do while the old accuser constantly accuses us?

While the old accuser of the brethren constantly accuses us, the Lord Jesus constantly comes to our defense. Having by Himself purged or cleansed our sins, He sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high as our advocate.

Les explains that even though the old accuser of the brethren has been constantly accusing us, the Lord Jesus constantly comes to our defense. Scripture presents Him as having by Himself purged or cleansed our sins, and then sitting down on the right hand of the Majesty on high as our advocate. In Revelation chapter 12, those who have been accused overcame the accuser by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Les stresses that the blood is never overlooked in Scripture, even though much preaching and teaching leaves it out, because it is intrinsic to our faith that we believe in the shed blood of the cross of Calvary. He also suggests this refers to the martyrs of all ages, not just the tribulation.
