Why does the Antichrist turn all his wrath on the 144,000?

Because the Antichrist cannot touch the escaping remnant of Israel, he redirects his fury against the 144,000 Jews. These are the ones who for three and a half years have proclaimed the gospel of the kingdom and the King's coming to the whole world. His wrath results in their imprisonment, hunger, thirst, and nakedness.

Les explains that at the midpoint, an escaping remnant of Israel heads out to the mountains in the east. The Antichrist realizes he cannot touch them. Therefore, he turns all of his wrath on the 144,000. These 144,000 had already been out there for three and a half years, literally proclaiming that the King is coming to the whole world. Because they cannot be silenced by stopping the escaping remnant, the Antichrist targets them directly. As a result, they are thrown in prison, become naked, hungry, and thirsty, as seen in Matthew 25. Les teaches that the Antichrist is going to turn all of his wrath on those 144,000 Jews.
