Where does God send the two witnesses at the beginning of the Tribulation?
At the beginning of the Tribulation, God sends the two witnesses to the nation of Israel in the area of Jerusalem. Though unnamed in Scripture, their preaching results in the 144,000 Jewish men being sealed and commissioned to carry the gospel of the kingdom throughout the world.
Les explains that God sends the two witnesses to the nation of Israel in the area of Jerusalem at the very same opening. He does not name them, though some suggest Elijah and Moses or Elijah and Enoch, because Scripture does not name them. Out of their preaching to Israel at the beginning, the 144,000 young Jewish men are sealed and commissioned to go out and take the gospel of the kingdom around the world. That gospel is the good news that the King is coming, and they are saved on the merit of the cross. Shortly after, the Antichrist appears as the white horse, followed by the red horse, which Les likes to think is the great Russian invasion from the north, precipitating war, famine, disease, and pestilence. These two witnesses are later put to death at the midpoint.
