What will happen to the two witnesses in the tribulation?
God sends two witnesses to the nation of Israel in Jerusalem at the tribulation's beginning. Their preaching leads to 144,000 young Jewish men being sealed and commissioned to preach the gospel of the kingdom worldwide. These two witnesses will be put to death.
Les explains that the two witnesses appear at the very opening of the tribulation, sent by God to the nation of Israel in the Jerusalem area. Although many name them as Elijah and Moses or Elijah and Enoch, Scripture does not name them, so he refrains from doing so. Out of their preaching, 144,000 young Jewish men are sealed and commissioned to carry the gospel of the kingdom—the good news that the King is coming, saved on the merit of the cross—around the world. Then, after the war, famine, and pestilence bring events to the midpoint, these two witnesses are put to death.
