How will the final seven years be timed?

The final seven years are timed on God's time clock, beginning when the covenant with Israel is made. This seven-year week is divided at its midpoint, after three and a half years, when sacrifice and oblation stop. Then desolation continues until everything is fulfilled.

Les teaches that Daniel 9:27 is the triggering mechanism to start the final seven years. During the church age, God's time clock has stopped; no one knows when it will end. But the final seven years will kick in gear on God's time clock, as in the Old Testament. The covenant is made with Israel for seven years—one week of time—and in the middle of the week, sacrifice and oblation stop. Israel will have restarted temple worship, worshiping under the supposed protection of the Antichrist for three and a half years. Then he moves in, and for the abominations he shall make the temple and temple worship desolate even until the end, until everything is fulfilled. In the opening days of the tribulation, Israel will almost think he was indeed the Messiah.
