How did God respond to the rebellion at the Tower of Babel?
God responded to the rebellion at the Tower of Babel by scattering the people from that place. They had rejected His instruction to repopulate and scatter across the earth, gathering instead in Mesopotamia under Nimrod. After God scattered them, idolatry and pagan religions took over the human race.
Les teaches that the Tower of Babel occurred approximately halfway between Noah and the call of Abraham. It was a total rejection of God's instructions to repopulate and scatter around the world. Instead, the people coming out of the sons of Noah rebelled against God, stayed in the area of the Euphrates in Mesopotamia, and under Nimrod gathered at the Tower of Babel. There began all pagan religions, Eastern religions, idolatry, and mythology. God then scattered them from the Tower of Babel, and idolatry had now taken over the human race.
