What happens when people start studying the Bible according to Les Feldick?
When people start studying the Bible, they soon realize it is exciting, interesting, and not as closed a book as most people think. This is the goal of the teaching, and nothing thrills more than hearing that someone is studying for the first time.
Les explains that his only reason for teaching is to get people into the Book. He recalls a lady at Macalester who said she didn't necessarily agree with him, but promised to start studying her Bible. He says that's all he asks, because if people simply get into the Book and study it, they will soon realize it is exciting, interesting, and not as closed a book as most people think. He also says nothing thrills them more than when listeners write and tell them that for the first time in their life they are studying.
