How ready is Israel today to rebuild her temple?
Israel is already fully prepared to rebuild her temple. According to the context, she is ready, having everything set for the priests and all the utensils, which are on display in Israel today. The temple will operate during the Tribulation, as the Antichrist will cause sacrifice and oblation to cease at the midpoint.
Les explains that in order for temple worship to cease, it must first be going. Since the Antichrist will enter the temple at the midpoint of the Tribulation and stop the sacrifice and oblation, the temple must be rebuilt and operating. Les points out that Israel is ready for it, with everything set for the priests and utensils, and these are on display in Israel. He notes that this temple will not be a religion in which God is working, but much like Judaism during Christ's earthly ministry.
