What does it mean that the ten kings receive power for one hour with the beast in Revelation 17:12?
The ten kings are ten rulers or nations who receive royal authority only briefly—"one hour" meaning a short period—alongside the beast. They do not yet hold independent kingdom power or political clout, but then with one mind they give their power and strength to the Antichrist, enabling his complete control.
Les teaches that the ten horns are ten kings, presidents, or prime ministers—whatever title they hold. They have received no kingdom as yet, meaning they do not have the power and political clout the Antichrist will have. But they receive power as kings for one hour, a short period of time, with the beast or Antichrist and his empire. They all agree, have one mind, and give their power and strength to the Antichrist. That is what he has been working for and maneuvering toward. He does not take over by civil war; he comes with peace, prosperity, and flatteries, manipulating the situation.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
