Who are the three personalities in the unholy trinity of the tribulation?
The unholy trinity of the tribulation consists of Satan, identified as the dragon and old devil, the Antichrist, called the beast, and the false prophet. These three personalities act together during the tribulation and are ultimately cast into the lake of fire, where they remain forever.
Les explains that verse 10 shows the devil, old Satan, the dragon, cast into the lake of fire and brimstone. The same verse also places the Antichrist, the beast, and the false prophet there after the thousand years. They are not annihilated or destroyed; they are still there. These three personalities made up the unholy trinity of the tribulation, and they go straight to that eternal doom, the lake of fire, which burns forever and ever. They go without benefit of the great white throne judgment, going immediately to it. Later they will be joined by all the other lost of the ages, but those others at least have their moment before the Lord at the great white throne.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
