What happens to people who hear the gospel and reject it?
When people hear the gospel, are convicted by the Holy Spirit of their need, and reject it, they are immediately blinded to the truth and immediately embrace the man Antichrist; this is contrasted with the billions who have never heard the gospel.
Les explains that these folks have heard this gospel and have been convicted by the Holy Spirit that this is what they need, and they reject it. They are the ones who will be immediately blinded to the truth and will immediately embrace the man Antichrist. He then contrasts this with the reality that there are billions of people who have never heard the gospel, and even when the gospel is preached on radio or television in truth and sincerity, some do not hear it.
