What will the 144,000 Jews do during the tribulation?

During the tribulation, the 144,000 Jews will travel around the globe, going to every tongue, tribe, and nation. They will minister to the Gentile nations rather than Israel directly, and through their ministry a great multitude will come to a knowledge of salvation. They will taste the role Israel missed.

Les explains that God will let these 144,000 Jews get a taste of what the nation as a whole missed. Instead of Israel bringing the nations to God, these 144,000 will literally circumvent the globe, going to every tongue, tribe, and nation. They will minister to all the Gentile nations, not Israel per se, and will see a multitude come to a knowledge of salvation through their ministry. The context then describes people standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes with palms in their hands, crying that salvation belongs to God and the Lamb; in other words, they will be martyred.
