What has happened by the midpoint of the seven-year tribulation?
By the midpoint of the seven-year tribulation, the Antichrist has appeared and Israel has been granted permission to resume temple worship, returning to the Law. These events bring the world to that midpoint, after grace ended with the Church's removal and God's wrath is poured out.
Les teaches that all these events take us up to the midpoint of the seven years. By that point, the Antichrist has appeared, and Israel has been given permission to go back into temple worship. She will go back under the Law, and she is getting closer to that all the time. Before this, grace had ended with the outcalling of the Church before the tribulation began. Now the wrath of the Lamb is being poured out. Les points to Romans 5:17a, 'for the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?' He also recalls Psalms chapter 2, where after mankind, Jew and Gentile, have rejected the King, they go into a period of perplexity and derision, which is where the world is tonight. Then God pours out upon them His vexation and His wrath, as stated in Psalms 2:2a. These events lead up to the midpoint of the seven-year tribulation.
