What portion of the world is killed by the pale horse?

The pale horse brings death, and hell follows him. Authority is given to kill one-fourth of the world by the sword and other means. This one-fourth may denote either the earth's geographical area or its population. The horse is symbolic of tribulation events that begin the travail.

Les explains that after the black horse's famine and the demise of two great power structures, the pale horse appears. On him is death, and hell follows with him. Power is given to kill with the sword and other means. The portion is one-fourth, whether of geographical area or population, Les says either one. This is tribulation, just the beginning. Les notes these four horsemen are merely symbolisms, not literal riders, symbolizing events coming on the planet. He connects this to Matthew 24, where Jesus speaks of famine, pestilence, and earthquakes in diverse places, and calls these the beginning of travail, using the metaphor of a delivery. Les also ties the scroll in Revelation 5 to a mortgage payoff and the earth's delivery from the curse instituted at the garden.
